My first experience of France.
In April, I went to France! It was my first trip there. My friend and I made plans way back in December, after she alerted me to tickets being super cheap – $650 return on British Airways. So we went for it! France was not high on my list, but I never turn down an opportunity to travel with a buddy. So we spent the winter making our plans, and then off we went! I am so glad I got to see this amazing and beautiful country.
Everything went quite smoothly. No problems or hiccups. We both happened to be celebrating birthdays during the week that we were there, so with both of us being foodies, we each booked a special birthday meal at a fancy restaurant. I chose Paul Bocuse in Lyon for my birthday dinner (after watching an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown), and she chose L’Amis Jean in Paris for hers. Both dinners were unbelievable. The rest of the details of the trip are captioned in the photos of this gallery.
