Relaxing retreat right here at home
This master suite bedroom was added on top of a two-story home in Oakland. As you come up the stairs from the second floor, the space opens up to high ceilings and beautiful light coming from the wall of paned sliders opening to the new walnut deck. The floating wall in the center of the space anchors the cozy bed, with museum-lighted artwork on the other side. The reading area is a lovely retreat for parents to relax. The bathroom features Heath tile and low-flow modern fixtures; there is an office nook and wardrobe in the back of the space with plenty of room to move around.
