DAILY DRAWINGS: (Dream) Drawing No. 15

So today’s daily drawing is a little different. It is a drawing of a dream of mine. Not a dream I had while sleeping, but what I imagine when I day dream about what I would love to experience in life. In this one., I am waking up from a delicious sleep in a big puffy bed with puffy pillows, with a view of the sunrise over the ocean through an enormous picture window, somewhere in a tropical land. Could be Isle du Mujeres, could be Bali, Could be Cairns. could be Miami. Could be all of these places! Who knows? I just know I dream of a warm climate with loads of abundance in the way of plants and trees and a warm ocean breeze. Oh! And see how the covers are thrown back on the other side of the bed? Yeah. In my dream, I am sharing this beautiful scene with a paramour. I think he’s downstairs making the coffee.

I thought of this dream last night. I’m not even very good at dreaming, I’m better at surviving. So this was a good exercise for me, and I am sure I’ll make more of these dream drawings. My inspiration comes from Mike Dooley, also known as TUT and his Notes from the Universe. These notes are little reminders of what I can do to manifest what I want in my life. I follow the thoughts become things concept, and I know it to be true because I have seen evidence over and over, and have manifested many things myself.

In fact, before I even knew about this concept, and I was 26 and living in Brooklyn NY, I made an illustration of Future Me, traveling through Santa Fe in a ragtop BMW, going sightseeing, and eating fajitas. I forgot all about it for many years. And guess what? About 20 years later, I found it again and realized, OMG. I now drive a beautiful VW (poor man’s BMW) with a skylight, and I have both seen the sights in Santa Fe and I have eaten amazing fajitas there too. I mean, some dreams are easy to attain, but some you just don’t know how it is going to happen. You just have to keep dreaming, and keep believing that it will eventually come true. And that is just one of many.

So it can’t hurt to make a drawing of me waking up happy in a comfy bed in a tropical paradise!
