Supersmoothie Recipe
/I made a thing! I have been experimenting with my smoothies and trying to get all the nutritional goodies in there into one smoothie, and also make it taste good. I’m calling this the Supersmoothie, because it hits all the notes!
Mix together in a bullet blender
1 small handful of kale
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1/2 cup frozen peaches or mangoes
1 tsp matcha powder
1 heaping tablespoon Nutiva superseed blend
2 packets stevia or 2 tbsp maple syrup
This smoothie is packed with some pretty good nutrition. Fruit has all kinds of vitamins, including potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and folate (folic acid). Kale is a nutrition superstar due to the amounts of vitamins A, K, B6 and C, calcium, potassium, copper and manganese it contains. Coconut milk is full of important nutrients like manganese and copper, and cholesterol and triglyceride levels have been shown to improve with coconut intake. Matcha is brimming with antioxidants and is high in a catechin called EGCG, which is believed to have cancer-fighting effects on the body. And lastly, the superseed blend of ground flax, chia and hemp is full of good fiber, omega-3’s, and has a delicious, nutty flavor!
